  • The most heavily attended station was KNOTS AND LASHINGS, which covered two Tenderfoot requirements and four First Class requirements.

  • The HIKING station covered two requirements for Tenderfoot and one for Second Class. We had two hikes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, that covered map and compass reading.

  • The FIRST AID station covered two Tenderfoot requirements, three Second Class requirements and three First Class requirements.

  • The FLAG FOLDING/RAISING station, which also including a visit with a community leader, saw scouts complete all or some of the two Tenderfoot requirements and one First Class requirement. We also had a special visit from Contra Costa Supervisor Federal Glover, who spent about 30 minutes talking with the Scouts.

  • At the MISCELLANEOUS station scouts needed to identify 10 kinds of wild animals. For scouts who asked to identify 10 kinds of plants, we took them on a nature hike so they could complete the requirement.

  • We held two sessions in the afternoon dealing with KNIVES AND AXES, where the scouts earned their Tot'en Chip cards.
